at Daybreak
My only certainty in life
Appears to be change
Forever constant
Forever present in the Now
Blessed may it be
Life structured around action
Physical being in a material world
Manifestation of the Divine
When I surrender to the Will
And act with integrity

And share my compassion
For Self with Others
I express my being with love
So love will return in kind
I have known times of hardship
I had to leave emotions to rest
In order to heal my soul
I learned to trust myself

Head held high
A kiss on my lips
Those around me radiate
With hope for what’s to come

Which chain my progress
